can somebody tell me how "deep" the Swave Machine on the Mono is? Is 
it able to do all the stuff a more simple VA would be possible to 
achieve? Like 2 OSC, with Saw, Sine and Squarewave, PWM and 
detuning/panning going to High/Low/Band\Pass Filters and then to 
Filter/AMP ADSRs?

or is it a very "own" animal doing a specialized thing in the way the 
Machinedrum has certain parameters for each Machine?

now you're getting close :-)

all MnM machines have the same amp/filter/effect/lfo parameters. then
they each have their own respective synth parameters (up to 8 of them).
the superwave machines are dedicated to either sawtooth or pulse
waveforms (not a combination of the two). their synth parameters focus
mainly on the width of the waveform and the fatness of the overall
sound (using sub-oscillators of the same waveform).

this may sound limiting, but I don't think it's intended to do what most
VA's do (e.g. Nord, Ion, Virus, Q, etc.).  I think their intention was
only to create great analog mono sounds. in other words, the SWAVE
machines basically do one thing, but they do it *very* well :-)

the filter sounds teriffic, by the way. it's very simple and you can get
some great effects from it. oh, and it's a combined high/band/lowpass
filter.

One more comment about the SWAVE machine.
It seems since the new OS (0.91) that the SWAVE has some sort of 
click at the beginning of the env.
I found that old patterns (0.90) suddenly had this clicking sound and 
newly made patterns also. It's not the env. of amp and filter. When I 
give them both a slow attack there is still this click.
Anyone else found this?

First, if you keep the attack low you can experience a clicka 
attack, especially on bass sounds. This is because the attack gets 
so fast so it if the underlying waveform is somewhere on max it goes 
quickly up and that will give the impression of a click. If you 
don't like it, put up the attack a little bit.

So why don't we restart the waveform for each trig? Well, then you 
would get the click each time you restart the note with the 
envelopes already open.

If you want the soft attack without any clicks you should put up the 
attack slightly (valid for all machines), but we didn't want to do 
this as default, as you want to get a really hard punchy attack 
sometimes.

However, this might not be the problem you experience? I can't find 
the click you describe myself. I'm running a newer version of it 
though, and it's too much trouble to load in the original 0.91 (yes 
I'm lazy), so maybe you can keep it in mind and check if it's still 
there when we release 0.92 (should be a matter of days).
