MD Carrying case

MD Carrying case

2003-07-08 by Dave Dawson

I'm sure Im not the only one thinking this, but why does not Electron produce a proper carrying
case for the MD. Seems like a logical solution. Any suggestions on what makes a good custom case
for the MD?

Dave

In the Machinedrum manual it states to transport the MD using either
the packaging it came from or the case available from Elektron....

I don't see a case on Elektron's site. What's the deal?

I heard DAP makes a microphone case which matches the MD exactly.

A while back, someone on this list suggested the Pelican 1500
case. I haven't had a chance to try it out personally.

I got my case for $25 from Loewe's Hardware. Home Depot has similar
"adjustable" tool cases with foam packing. Groovy.

I have a Pelican case for my SP-808 sampler and it's very nice. I
haven't sized up which would be right for the MD, but I highly
recommend them. Basically check out the website for dimensions, each
case has little foam squares that you remove so you can fit anything
from a camera to a machinedrum nice and snug. -Scott

I have a Pelican 1500 model case that cost me $80 US. The MD fits in like a champ and the thing is *solid*.
