MD and instrument levels

MD and instrument levels

2002-11-05 by Federico Ciapi

These is a feature that I'd like to see implemented in the next MD os
update:

While working on new patterns, I often push some instruments to the max
level, and can't go further.
Instead of having to lower all the other instruments one after the
other, pressing FUNCTION while turning the level knob would change the
level of all the instrument BUT NOT the current one.

Does someone else like the idea?

I really like this idea, Frederico! It should also work like this:
Function while turning clockwise would turn all the other instruments
down, and Counter-Clockwise would turn all the others up.

It would also be cool if the upper and lower limits of the level on
each could be remembered in relation to the other levels while
adjusting, so if you hit the max or min level on a particular track,
and brought the levels to the middle again without releasing, the same
relative level would be maintained between each of the tracks...

Or, at least, FUNCTION + LEVEL should stop changing levels if you reach
max or min in a track while turning the knob.
Ok, when is the next OS update planned? ;-)
