wellwell, 

as my lack of whining shows, i have been pretty happy with my MD
recently.

only yesterday (when working on a complex sequence i need all midi
channels for) i figured out though that i cant seem to stop the MD
from receiving program changes and stuff.

i cleaned out the note-to-pattern-change and note-to-track-mute lists
already but of course, the box still responds to program changes and
therefore, switches the drumkit when i try to simply use another pad
sound. interesting, but not what i want in this song ;) 

of course i need to sync the MD to the sequencer, therefore, i cannot
just unplug the midi cable. is there a way to switch the reception of
other midi events OFF? 

if there isnt, i´d really LOVE to see that in OS 1.12, 1.2 or
whichever comes next. btw, will there be another OS update?

Try this:

in global menu, set SYNC --> CTRL IN to OFF

thanks for the pointer, but that seems to be responsible for the
start/cont/stop commands to the sequencer only. 

leaves me wondering whether theres really no way to switch off note-
and program change-reception.
