Elektron Musical Instruments

hey all!

as i read thru all the threads here, i couldn't resist.

i've been thinking of buying one since it was released, finally i'm now also 
"with machinedrum" =)


a question tough:  is it hard to get started with the machinedrum? i mean, i 
know a bit about how sounds are synthesized, but i read thru the pdf manual 
and this all looks very confusing for me on the first view.

s second question: how do you use your machinedrum? standalone? i guess it's 
blasphemy to use it via midi as a soundmodule?

Its very easy to get started with, the interface is nearly idiot proof.

I use it both as standalone and as a sound module, sometimes ill record the
drums live for a song, but most of the time I sequence it all from logic,
because the MD just cant do the finite sequencing that I do in logic (most
of the time im sequencing drums at 64th or 96th note resolution.)

But it's a GREAT machine either way
