M.D. bug's

2002-04-20 by fuentes925

Hello, I was considering buying the MD but I have seen alot of posts
complaning of problems lately. after some time owning the MD have you
found it to be full of problem's or would you say that it is still a
well built quality piece that I should not worry about spending the
cash on. I would like to use it in a live set up, is it relieble
enough for that or is it better kept in the studio. well thank's in
advance for any help.

Hmm... problems with the MD have been these as far as I could remember.

* Noisy separate outputs (rectified on newer machines if I am not
mistaken, please correct me if I am wrong)

* Splank!s problem with power, caused by some component inside the MD
coming in contact with something. This causing power failure.

I used the MD live this Thursday, no problem except that this baby
kicks some serious ass on a real PA system. :)

I bet that quite a few people on this list have been gigging with the
MD now, and I would love to hear your opinions on it's reliability, if
it works in dark and sweaty locations (rubber button instead
of the plastic ones perhaps?).

/Janne
