Elektron Musical Instruments

Hello all,

im trying to get my MDUW to be the start point of sync and play/stop for ProTools(ver8).

I got to have ProTools controlling the machinedrum (e.g. hitting play on PT the MD starts too).  

Can i do this opposite direction?

yeah you should set pro tools to recieve play and stop from the device by 
changing the controlsurface settings and set the md to send out all midi data or 
something like that

mmmh,,,,i think Protools sees controlsurfaces just as faders/knobs surface to control automation and virtual-mixer....im trying to set PT as MMC slave, but with no results------the problem is that MDUW doesn't have a menu to change device ID. In PT i have to set the correct ID....do u know if the MD has a specific ID device number?
