Status of Monomachine OS

Status of Monomachine OS

2005-12-14 by snmcur2000

Just picked up a new monomachine after being without one for most of the year... I saw that
the o.s. had been updated a few times and went for it.

Well, now that I've started fooling with it, I notice that there seem to be plenty of bugs left!
Randomly changing kits when sequencing, freezing up when changing sequencer length, etc.
At least the SQUEAL is gone.

Would like some feedback from some users as to how buggy it remains - or if I just need to
do a fresh install or something. I only have a couple more days to return it if I choose - don't
want to, but if the damn thing switches kits or freezes this often I don't want it.

I am sure Elektron would help you with an exchange. I just don't see
how you could live (happily, that is) without a MONOmachine!

Yes, a new statistic reveals a major cause of death among 5-80 year old
males is lack of monomachine.

Monoerectile dysfunction is a TOTAL drag, man.

Elektron support confirmed an o.s. issue, recommended I use 1.05b
until it is fixed. That will put the spring back in the joystick.

I still have doubts whether the Mono faithfully 'saves' info, unless
it is common to sound as a distant similarity rather than a
replica. Although, I can't take the suspicion off the user. At
times, it is very in your face refusal to play the intended pattern.

There are similarities to the MD in this regard. It could be.

the freezes, but not so they are bothersome, like loosing all
remnants of a pattern. (Looks like I didn't post in just the right
place.)

I installed 1.05b and my major issues are gone for now. It occasionally changes kits on
me for no reason, but no data loss and no freezes. Just that MnM personality:)
Very satisfied (again).
UW in the future.
