Elektron Musical Instruments

Well now, 
so I wasn't going mad after all!

The reason I couldn't get MIDI SysEx 'Direct Program' messages to work 
on my new SID Station (which came pre-installed with OS v1.11 R34)
is that there seems to be a bug in that OS!

Elektron support confirmed that they couldn't get Direct Program 
messages to work with R34 either, 
and they've asked me to roll back to R33.

Sorry to drudge up such an old post, but there's not much info on this on the web. I'm a new Sidstation user and am having the same problem. Will Elektron supply me with an R33 OS? I've asked support, so can only hope I guess.

Wow, that was a blast from the past.

It’s a shame they never yet fixed those OS bugs, 
but sadly as you all probably know, Daniel at Elektron died :(

Yeah sorry.

No, I had no idea about that. That's a shame :( He does'n't look that old either.

Is that why there's a lack of support for it now?

Would be good to get 3 channel multi-timbrality, and what about playing an ASID song and it retaining the patches for you to then use....

Elektron provided me with the R33 OS back at the time I started this thread, yes.....

Since then, of course, Daniel of Elektron, who was most closely involved with the SID Station, tragically lost his life.
But I do not think that would prevent them having a copy of the older OSes.
