Just Curious what you all are using for samples to import into the UW? I am trying to find good snares and kicks mainly but not sure where to look ? Also anybody have any expierience with the Joemox Xbase09,And Would it be a worthy addition to the Md- UW? Thanks for any replies!!!

The xbase is solid kit. Be aware of the 3 voices of polyphony... I found the restriction to only stub my toe once in a while. It sounds fantastic and the interface is quick. Try and buy a more recent serial as the older ones had flakey step buttons. Some folks reaaaaaally don't like the hats, and I am among that crowd but it did not keep me from enjoying the thing.

if you want more flavor try picking up an airbase or jazbase, cause you already have a sequencer with the UW and the samples on the Jazbase are a lof more sophisticated. it is also very easy to sample, it has a trigger button on the front, you just got out of the rear with one of the 10 outputs into the UW then select the kit and drum you want and hit the midi button and it triggers the drum. How are the snares on the xbase09, and is this unit also good for bass lines as well? the kicks are better than the snares on the xbase09, but its totally an opinion and like comparing apples to oranges. i still have to say that getting an air or jaz is better idea. the interface is simpler and it has more routing and instrument options. I am looking for simple maybe even able to sequence the joemox from the MD-UW Interface But I dony know I just have heard its a great drum machine.
