This weekend I made some stands for the MD and the MM, just as the picure in the Photos dept. Before I fix a screw in my machines: some buttons and lights are at the same height as the rack ear holes. Can anybody tell if it is safe to put some screws in those holes? Kind regards!

The way the Nord is done is a neat solution, but I already made my ears. The real question is: how far can I screw the screws in before hitting anything vital? --- In elektron-users@yahoogroups.com, Chris Mitchell <chrism@l...> wrote: > there are already mounting holes in the side of the MD. > trade you a D4 ;) > chrism > On Aug 13, 2005, at 3:43 PM, Mark Rivera wrote: > > >> Before I fix a screw in my machines: some buttons and lights are at > >> > > > > Are you sure you want to put holes in them? Ohh.. I imagined he was asking so that he could make holes in the sides to match the ears he made. Didn't get that he was using the standard holes. The question is then, how long of a screw...? I think if you're very gentle, and the unit is NOT PLUGGED IN, you should be able to screw them in, slowly, BY HAND, and feel if anything inside is contacted. Mark
