MD slide bug

MD slide bug

2004-11-03 by Phreak

Hi folks

I discovered a bug on my MD. I’m running OS1.19.
While playing a pattern in extended mode, some slides on a track and
some tracks muted, I switch to another track, unmute my kick (for
example) and the kick sounds quite strange. Some notes higher and really
strange. So also on every track which was muted during the
pattern-change. Until I stop MD and start again, then all instruments
sound like they should.
I tried to update to 1.19c – same bug
After deleting the slides.. everything was ok

Are there any other users with a similar problem??

Hi Christian,

I am running 1.19c as well, and I noticed a bug that might be in the
same category, but a different manifestation. It seems that maybe
some operations cause a change in the kit or machine playback after
one of those operations. I reported my bug to Elektron, per the
request in the readme that comes with the OS. You should definately
report it to them, with details on how to reproduce the bug. Thanks.

Best Regards,

Joe

I've experienced the same thing in OS 1.12, just jamming with mutes
in one pattern. When I unmute a track that has parameter locks
affected by slides, the notes sound strange for the first run through
the pattern after the unmute; then everything's fine again. Also, if
I stop the pattern and start it again, everything sounds as it should.

I just got my MD last week, so I wasn't sure if this was considered a
bug or if I was perhaps doing something incorrectly. Checked the
LFOs as well, but no insight there to correcting the problem.

ao.
