It can be a bit hard to set the parameter locks like this, yes.  But
you also got pause.  I can ususally edit two patterns at a time
without stopping.  You could also slow the tempo down.  Midi
sequencing is a little more difficult.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
