I'd like to know how >you load and store samples on it. > If you listen carefully you can hear wich is from what. The ESX has a bit of a dirty, somewhat thicker sound due to the Tubes and the output stage. The MM and MD are very clean and precise (wich I like) and are more upfront in the stereo image. This combination brings more depth to the image so to speak. In this Jam only some of the percussion was from the ESX but the possibilities are endless ........... ;-) The most obvious parts are unmuted at 1:23, 1:35, 2:22. From 5:16 I start to twist some ESX knobs. It's very good in dynamic left to right, back to front, dry/wet kind of things with the motion record (24 in one pattern!) Very similair as pattern locks for those who do not now the E-tribes. In fact the love for the motion seq. in the ES-1 made me buy the MD with his parameter locks. Ronald. PS. When I'm selected I'm up for a Live contest, style Downtempo, 26th of March for Diesel in Amsterdam. I'm thinking of an totall improvised set in the same feel as this jam, will it be good enough? (Of course you fool ;-)
