You're missing the point. That is, although a large # of people in here (and in any electronic music-makers group) own a keyboard in their studio, not a large # of them are really keyboard players. The keyboard is just a tool for constructing a track. And in most cases, it isn't used at all after the track is sequenced. I own a keyboard. I use it about 2% of the time when writing a track. So although it *is* my input device for synthesizers and sequencers, it isn't what I use when I *play* my tracks. Thus, I think your poll data won't really prove very much. Some better questions would be: "what percentage of your track-writing time do you spend using a keyboard", "once a track is sequenced, do you ever use your keyboard to play it?", "do you consider yourself a keyboardist?", "what role does a keyboard play in your music: input tool only; live performance tool; sound programming tool; etc." Joe.
