I asked Elektron not too long ago.  My question was, basically, is the
keyboard interface to the MM something other than the normal
interface?  Because knowing Elektron, this is entirely possible; and
if this is the case, then they will likely not separate the module
from the keyboard.

They informed me that the keyboard is in fact just a controller, as in
any other synth.  Its functions are as normal - live playing, sequence
recording and triggering sequences.

So then I see no reason why they *wouldn't* release a module version,
especially if the keyboard version is successful  And in fact, when 
asked this direct question, their reply was something to the nature of 
"the keyboard version is all that we've announced :-)" <--- note the
smiley!

I agree completely.  That's one of the main reasons why I've decided
not to purchase the MM once it's released.  I'm holding off, hoping
for a MMM :-)

See, when I'm writing with synths, I spend very little time actually
playing a keyboard; it's only used to find what I want and sequence
it, then left alone.  I'm not skilled at keyboards and I have no
desire to cart one to a gig.  Especially since, from the looks of it,
the MM weighs at least twice what the MD weighs.  That's an awful lot
to carry around when you're not going to use it.

Besides, wouldn't the MD and a MM module look so cute together? ;-)

I'm in love with the Evolver as well.  And I also needed "extra synth
power"; so I went with the Nord Rack 2X.  I'm very happy with it, but
I still have a hard time dragging myself from playing the MD exclusively.
