I love doing this as well. my MIDI effects unit (Alesis quadraverb) has no realtime control buttons. so if I want to do any changes in realtime, I *have* to use the MD to control them :-) that said, I always use the internal effects for MD-generated sounds. I usually run my Sid through them as well. Joe.
