Ola! If you like it raw, I can certainly recommend using a guitar amplifier! :) We were using the SIDStation live with a distortion pedal. The noise bug of the SIDStation is really great with distortion!! You can use its four controllers as MIDI controllers for a Softsynth for example, but I'm sure you won't need that, because the sound of the SIDStation is sufficient. But..... You'll have to use a sequencer to get anything out of the SIDstation. Without a sequencer, nothing will come out. If you want to keep it cheap, just buy a second hand Roland MC-303 to sequence the SIDStation. You even can use the SIDStation audio input for mixing MC-303 sounds in you mix. Together with a guitar amplifier this should make a lot of noise! Oh baby I like it raawwww..
