If your running OS 1.11 you can verify the sysex and the MD will check it
against whats in its memory withought actually loading the sysex into memory

You can do this by sending your sysex to your computer then do the the Sysex
receive section in the MD and set the mode to "VERF" and manually send the
sysex back to the MD

Unreliable BUGGY MD had a new surprise in it's bag of tricks when the power
cable got pulled out by accident when moving it and upon replugging it in
the first 12 kits had disappeared! the other 52 were there and all the
patterns, but the kits? gone forever, taking out everything i have done in
last 4 weeks. Because i am so used to it's unreliability and crashiness i
had a sysex back up of everything but the song i had been working on, which
is simply gone now while i was in the midst of tracking it all into cubase,
Upon redumping the sysex into the md the next day after a seriously pissed
off day of disbelief, I now find that the sysex dump is crap, random
instruments in kits are mangled and not what i made, has anyone else had
this problem? I am considering selling this thing, whats the point of great
sound and interface when it goes tits up at crucial moments time after time,
and dont bother replying 'no problems here' i am aware most have fine luck,
i don't and i just wonder if anyone else experiences bad sysex and stupid
crashes where 12 kits disappear but the patterns and remaining kits stay the
same
