Hey all, I've been trying to use my MD to sequence my nord modular. It all works fine, except when I start having adjacent steps active they play as one sound, without a rest in between, no matter what the note length is set to. i.e. I have a simple monosynth bass sound on the nord being sequenced by a midi machine on the MD. The note length is set to 1/32 or 0/32 and there is a 1 bar pattern of 16th notes (all steps on). The nord plays a sustained note instead of 16 individual notes like it should. If there is space between the active steps, then the step length control works normally. So it seems like the MD isn't sending a note-off message soon enough or not at all, when the steps are right next to each other. My soulution has been to make the amp envelope on the nord an "attack - decay" type and silence the sustain portion, essentially turning the midi note on message into a trigger instead of a gate. But then I can't use the MD step length control... Anybody have similar problems or a better soulution? Thanks! Ben
