You wouldn't expect this behaviour from a EUR 1600 > machine. > Should I contact elektron for this? these are two separate problems entirely. encoders going the opposite direction is an indicator that they are faulty and need to be replaced. you should definitely contact Elektron to take care of this. as far as replacing the knobs on the encoders...I don't know if it can be done or not. the encoders Elektron uses are custom-made and I don't know if the stems on them are standard or not. if they are, then yes you can replace the knobs with something else. if not, you'll have a hard time finding something that will fit, I'd imagine. BUT be forewarned that taking the knobs off is dangerous. the encoder stems are plastic and you could very well snap one when removing a knob from it. you might be able to get some insight from Elektron on this, so mailing them wouldn't be a bad idea.
