sorry! i was a little distracted when writing. while writing i realized that the person was probably into using more than just a step or two of CTR-ALL change in their sequence, and so the reloading of the original kit (if the altered one was not saved) was more appropriate. what i was proposing was, in hindsight, a creative device and not a solution to his problem. with the CTR-ALL machine loaded into one of the MD's tracks, by using parameter locks with the CTR could make a few steps per pattern do some wild things, and return the kit to normal. the whole "lunacy to come" thing came about while i was thinking about using the CTR-ALL machine in the live setting. use the CTR with parameter locks early on, and then as the set nears the end, start tweaking the CTR without parameter locks to tweak the audience! and you'll still have the original kit to reload should the CTR-tweaked kit become too muddled for your taste. --- In elektron-users@yahoogroups.com, Chris Thomas <ecksfive@g...> wrote: > Care to elaborate?
