Damn ... not the answers I wanted to hear ... but probably the 
answers I expected!
Thanks for the quick responses.  Two more quickies:

When it comes to which machine is more fun, the MM or the MD, what 
is the general concensus here?  Ideally I'd like to have both so I 
guess the question could be worded "which one do I get first?"

Where is the cheapest place to buy them (apart from eBay).

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
