Smoothest Wavefolder?

Smoothest Wavefolder?

2010-07-02 by Doug

This might have been a topic before, so please forgive me if I'm asking again.

I'm looking for a device that will take my modular waveshapes, sounds, etc, and gradually morph them (via CV) into more organic sounds.

Maybe I should call this the "Organic" thread. Dunno. I just know that I'm NEVER done with a modular synth patch until I have several levels of human and/or manual expressive control over the actual voice.

There is a serious need for a device that will morph a sound based on human interaction. (note that I purposely do not describe a particular technology)

Yeah Doug-
Larry Hendry, Moe... and the Stooge brand were doing the wave-folders from this site, as well as their own. I worked on some of them myself. If you look way, way back in the archives, you'll likely find those posts. I have one, and a couple of the 'Time Machines' (analog delays)... but they just weren't..... me.
Still- there could easily be others who ARE interested I certainly don't speak for all (and wouldn't want the job).

All polls show that the STG Wavefolder is the shizzle!

I finished a design recently and am waiting for panels to come in but...how about a vactrol VCF/VCA...in about 3-4 weeks? :)
Not a wavefolder but it IS smooth and 'organic'.
I've been playing with it all week noodling and, if I do say so myself, it f'ing rocks!
Very expressive and...natural sounding (though it can still go way out there).
I built in a special CV setup and...anyway...it will be shipping soon. Sometime this weekend I may have a chance to upload some samples to Muffwiggler and you'll hear what I mean.
