Upgrading MPX1

Upgrading MPX1

2012-09-14 by tintinlad320

Hi everyone

Followinf other posts/ questions about the arrival of DKC850 in my home for my mpx1 I come regularly with questions here there are ?

-I kind of realised that the dkc850 does not have all the recording facilities the old dck500r had no multitrack recording, no quantisizing (unless metronome mode recording includes that) , no editing functions (mix move copy delete transpose). I find that very strange that the sequencer has been so limited...(of course I can use an external sequencer). Am I reading this well ?

-Also I am wondering for the calibration procedure and all the test modes etc... in the dkc850 manual there is no mention of that but in the E3 maintenance manual there is the calibration /test etc procedures for the dkc800. Would that work for the dkc850 with the mpx1 or do I need to keep the old dkc500r for that purpose ?

 Thanks for your "lights"!

The E3/DKC850 was intended as more user friendly product for the general user. The simpler electronics also help to keep the price down somewhat.

As far as functions go, apart from a couple of minor differences, the DKC850 is identical to the DKC800(E3).

I mean can I sell the original dkc500r or do I need to keep it for the maintenance or other functions of the mpx1 ?

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
