We stop 99% of it, but three just slipped through. All new members have their messages moderated until they post a couple legit ones and prove not to have joined just to spam. When spam emanates from a trusted member who has been infected with a spam-bot, most of it is caught by Yahoo’s own spam filter and sent to me to moderate. These last three came from two different, long time, trusted members and also slipped by Yahoo’s filter. I have manually but both accounts back on a moderated status and sent private emails to both alerting them to the problem.
I don’t know what more we can do to protect the membership, but a half dozen or so per year shouldn’t be too intolerable.
