Year 2000 MX100 MarkII On Sale for $7995!

2001-01-14 by iraleigh@aol.com

Hi Everyone!

This is a rather unfortunate situation for me.

Two months ago, I bought a brand new 100 Year Anniversary Yamaha
MX100 MarkII. It's a great piano. I picked it because it has a tone
that's extremely mellow and well rounded -- unlike most other Yamaha
uprights that sound notoriously bright. However, due to the poor
construction of my apartment building, my neighbor upstairs has been
complaining about the noise from the the very first day I own the
piano. So now I have no other choice but to sell it.

I am offering it for $7995. The piano is located in West Los
Angeles. Anybody interested? I would also appreciate it if you can
spread the word for me.

Thanks and feel free to call me at 310-450-8228.

Hello Everyone,

iraleigh@... has to sell his Disklavier upright because it can be heard
in another apartment in his building.

If you would rather keep the instrument, you migh try baffling it. I had this
problem many years ago (before the Disklavier) when I was a graduate student
in piano in Boston. I put my upright Yamaha piano on a couple of thick rugs
and I put thick wool blankets between the back of the piano and the wall. I
also used the mute feature of the instrumet which dropped a felt betwen the
hammers and the strings. That feature is probably part of your MX100 Mark II.
