Karaoke

2004-04-20 by David Gardner

Rudy here.

So on that note of asking dumb questions...

Friends recently asked me if I knew of a way to run karaoke on my DC3A.
Is there a way to have the piano play the music, and run the words to
the music on my television, or my laptop?

I know it's probably not the most sophisticated use of my disklavier,
but it does sound like a lot of fun.

Regards
Rudy

Greetings David,

Try VanBasco's Karoake player (find it in google) and connect a midi
interface from the computer to the DKV. If you can get MIDI files with
lyrics and suitable piano parts it will work fine. You might need to
modify some of the MIDI files. I have a utility on my web site that
does some modifications that might be needed but it is probably not
for beginners. To find the utility, start on the home page and follow
the links to MidiMod2.
