I'm confused. Sorry, I don't know much at all about apple products...but if your airport extreme is connected to your piano, and it is, in fact, a b/g/n device, then your iphone should be able to see the piano also... Have I got your setup confused somehow? What is the connection between your mac and the piano? Is it also wireless? What IP address is DKVBrowser using to connect to your piano? -Kevin ________________________________ From: "Wethington, P" <thirdharmonic@...> To: disklavier@yahoogroups.com Sent: Wednesday, June 6, 2012 1:26 PM Subject: [disklavier] Disklavier Wifi Questions I am addressing this indirectly to Kevin Goroway and ask anyone else to chime in as well. I use the DKV Browser with my mac, running Lion. My Airport Extreme (b/g/n) sees the DK wireless just fine and is flawless. I can edit the content of the DK's hard drive content with ease. Kevin Goroway wrote a very useful program that I use daily. I can access the DK without the use of any other device running the DKV Browser program. But, I can't access it running the "Disklavier Controller" program on my iPhone 4s. This is because the 4s only sees "n" type wifi signals. So i need an interface or a patch to make it compatible. If I connect a "n" type wireless router to the ethernet connection on the DK I should be able to use the iPhone 4s, correct? I tried using a Belkin 300 wifi router without success. The set-up program assumes I'll be connecting the WAN to a cable modem, which is the first problem. So the Belkin blinks unmercifully when I leave the WAN unplugged. The Belkin is configured using a web browser platform(Safari/Firfox/GoogleChrome). It doesn't offer any information on how to configure it for use as a LAN router. I've considered studying the 7 layer networking protocol to figure this out on my own, but I don't have that much patience. I have a 60ft ethernet cable and have considered using it, but that just shouldn't be necessary with all of this wireless technology. I want to use the iPhone 4s as it is convenient, I can run the DK with it and it has a midi program that I find very useful for studying and composing. So, can someone post a tutorial? (yes another tutorial) or offer equipment suggestions? TIA Patrick
