before I call my service tech

I'm wondering what I'm in for:
I have an older "gray market" upright disklavier that has been happily playing for many years.
It stopped dead in its tracks and I noticed a very strong "electrical smell" and a blown fuse.
I tried replacing the fuse and the electrical smell returned......oops....stop.....unplug

Wondering what the issue might be and if this is the end of the line for this instrument? $$$$$

also: I could have done it to myself--I was playing something that I got from the internet~~~I have since learned it's important to adjust the velocity...?
