to add what Kevin said... i have an app on my web site called remap notes which allows you to remap MIDI notes. the online version does not treat separate channels separately but i have a version that does. if you want to split the keyboard at a fixed point, you can use this program to change all notes to a different channel. alternately i can write a simple program that just asks you where you want the split and splits the notes above that point to channel 2. let me know if this would be useful. it would only take a few minutes to write the keyboard split program.

The Disklavier doesn't know your right hand from the left hand in the same
way you do. In the MIDI menu, you can split the keyboard. Basically, the
keys on your piano are played from information contained in Channels 1 and
2, otherwise noted as L and R. You can record whatever you want your "left
hand" to play in Channel 1, and the "right hand" notes on Channel 2.
