Disklavier

You should be able to download your midis to your Laptop and then
access the From/To PC folder on the Disklavier Mark IV, directly from
the Laptop finder under shared devices.  The  dkv##### where ##### are
numbers, should appear in your finder window. 

If you click on this device name, the following folders should appear
DNA, Document, FromToPC, MyPicture, Update.   

You can move or copy the midi files that you download into the From/To
PC folder.  

Using your prc remote that comes with the disklavier, you can view
those files that you transferred via WIFI network.  You will have to
click on From/To PC on the handheld remote, then remember to click on
Function button and click on refresh.  You have to refresh each time
after you load new midis onto the disklavier.  You should then be able
to see the midis you put into this folder.  The midis can be played
from the From/To PC folder, and by using the Function Button, you can
add them to your user library on your Disklavier Mark IV.

You do not need an airport express hooked to the disklavier to use the
wifi to the From/To PC folder.  The airport express will allow you to
access the disklavier radio from your wifi internet and play it on
your disklavier mark iv.  There are threads on this forum that
describe how to set up the airport express to do this.  You can search
for keywords to find the threads that discuss this topic.

BTW, if you want to try transferring by floppy disk, make sure you are
transferring to a disk that is an IBM formatted disk (which is
readable and formatable by your Mac).  I suspect that you did not have
an IBM formatted disk, but a Mac formatted one.
