I really need to find this quick! I remember a few months ago I found a page somewhere on either the USA or Japan's Yamaha site where you could punch in the serial number of the piano and it would give back where it was made and what year. The link was on my old computer that died and now I can't find that page. The Yamaha site seems to have been redesigned and it gives only a list of some serial numbers and the dates only go up to 1999. That list is at http://www.yamaha.com/yamahavgn/CDA/ContentDetail/Text_WithCatMenu_SC/0,6381,CNTID%253D12173%2526CTID%253D410015%2526VNM%253DLIVE%2526AFLG%253DY,00.html but it does me no good except to say that all grands are made in Japan. If that's true then all I need is a verification of the age. I really, really, really need this service right away ASAP. Can anyone help me find this page? I need to confirm a piano that's being delivered this week and won't have the serial number until it's delivered. Thanks, Jeff PS. Also is it common to have the piano delivered uncrated? I seem to have read in the past they do show up wrapped in foil if it is new. Thanks again. Jeff
