Congratulations on your new DKV!

You can download any MIDI file and it will play on your piano.  However, 
only the music on channels 1 and 2 will actually make the keys on the piano 
play - everthing else comes out through the tone generator and the speakers. 
  The type of software you would use to edit a MIDI file is sequencer 
software; a free program Jazz++ is available from www.jazzware.com  Another 
very useful software program for editing MIDI files is gnmidi available in 
the file vault on this website.

You cannot burn MIDI files to a CD and play them on your Disklavier.  You 
must use the floppy disks or memory disks for MIDI files.  The CD will only 
play regular audio files, or the CDs you get from Yamaha, PianoDisc or QRS.  
These proprietary CDs use an analog converter to play their MIDI files from 
the CD.

Karoke files are also MIDI files, and there are plenty of them available on 
the internet.  I'm sure someone on this list knows of some good websites.

The owner's manual that came with your DKV refers to MIDI files from the 
internet as Import files.  Chapter 10, page 61 in the B book explains how to 
play these files.
