I am new to the group, looking to purchase a used disklavier.
I would REALLY Like a U3 in polished mahogany, but seems most uprights are black.
Regardless, looked at a 1996 U1 disklavier today in Toronto, but the control system would not power.
It has been in storage for 10yrs, unwrapped and when we tried, both myself and the owner heard a click.
It would appear that there is NO Vcc on the system board up top, there is a transistor which may have failed, or maybe the aged electrolytic around it.
I can troubleshoot, but looking for a schematic to do this properly.
Piano is in very good condition, I expect this is a simple power supply failure but need information carefully determine for certain.

Peter,
Give me the DKCxxxx number on the front of the control unit. Then I will know which manual to give you a link to.
