Disklavier

Hi Carl,  (great name btw) 

I was looking at doing the same thing for probably the same reasons.  It all ended up being too difficult and finally I have ended up with what is probably a better solution.   That is simply connectin a small laptop with a midi cable to the disklavier.  That way you can play files directly from the internet etc...  Also you can edit midi files etc and you don't have to worry about copying them to a usb stick to play them.  Carl

Hello Everyone


Im a new Disklavier owner.  I bought an MX-84 with DKC5R Disklavier.  Of course it only works with floppy disks.  I came across a number of devices that replace the floppy drive with a unit that allows USB thumbdrives as the media.  I would need a great deal of data to determine if this would work in my DKC5R and am having great difficulty finding details about the product.  


If there is anyone who has looked into this or has detail info on the product(s) I would be very appreciative.
