Disklavier

Hi,

Has anyone seen a hardware problem like this on a MkII Disklavier?

I have a MkII Disklavier with a DKC100R control unit (and another unit that adds MIDI file compatibility).

It stopped working correctly for playback about 4 years ago. Only some of the notes playback - it seems almost random which notes don’t play. This affects any disk - prerecorded or new recordings made on the unit. Some notes play perfectly, the other don’t trigger at all. Maybe 1/2 of all notes play.

There is a great piano technician that comes to tune it, and has experience with Disklaviers. He believes that it might be the power supply, but hasn’t been able to test that yet. I was just curious to see if anyone else has had a similar problem?
