Hello friends...

I have a strange request for this group:

Do anyone have the flat connctor type/name/code ? (the ones where the flat plastic is sticked in!)
where I can buy the connectors used by the flat panel ribbons ?

Anyone with old front right card that want to sell ?

(I have a failing connector!!!!)

Since the membrane switch tails always fail eventually, are you sure your
problem is with the connector?

Anyway, they're called Trio-mate connectors, and they're made by Tyco
Electronics. Digikey stocks the 7-pin ones, and Mouser stocks the 7- and
10-pin ones. In a pinch, you could use the 7-pin one in place of the 5-pin
one by cutting off the extra pins and carefully aligning the ribbon by eye.

YES! one of the connector has lost the grasp
was a mod done about 8 years ago
(I'm helping my brother with a dead polaris now but IN STUNNING CONDITIONS!)

I think the 7 space is the correct one

IIRC the smaller connector on the right side, wants a 7 contact, usign only the 5 central
(correct me... )

Yes. But that one is the vertical mount version. You want the right angle
mount.
