A few more oddities of my CP

A few more oddities of my CP

2004-08-15 by funkjunke

Just thought I would mention a few more strange things I have noticed
about my Polaris, I don't expect anyone to definitively know whats
wrong, but am curious if anyone else's do this, or have seen it.

I have now swapped the batteries twice, brand new this time, but each
time, I get no indication from the LF-D-1 function as to the current
battery level. All of my patches DO stay stored, always have, but no
settings stay stored (ie, amount of multi-timbraln channels or
anything). Is that normal for the settings?

Also, sometimes when I turn it on, I get a gibberish sound from
whatever patch it's on. As soon as I change patches, it's back to
normal, just strange.

So, any input is good, but not wholly necesary, just thought I'd
share my findings with the group.

Cheers,
Byron

There is a backup capacitor on the battery which gives a few minutes
of backup time. If you unplug the entire battery harnass you will
erase the memory (bad).

I've had this happen before-- I think it has to do w/sloppy
initialization/reset. I adjusted the power_ok setting and that sort
of thing stopped happening.
