Assignable Volume Pedal?

Assignable Volume Pedal?

2009-01-29 by charlespjackson

My question is regarding the Assignable modulation pedal. It seems
that when attempting to program the pedal to adjust Volume it appears
to be reversed? i.e. when I apply forward motion to the toe of the
pedal the volume decreases and backward motion to the heel raises the
volume? Am I doing something wrong or is this particular parameter
only setup as such?

I can't imagine that it works backward compared to the other things you can
assign it to. If it's a non-Chroma pedal, then it's probably wired
differently. In this case, it would be pretty easy to rewire it, if you're
only going to use it with the Polaris. To the Polaris, the pedal is supposed
to look like a 100K (or less) variable resistor between ring and tip, with a
resistance that increases as you push the toe down. Depending upon how it's
wired, you might even be able to rig up an adapter out of a stereo plug and
a stereo jack.
