Something could be on the hairy edge of working/not working. But I can't think of any way to tell without a scope. With one, I'd look at the power supplies, to make sure they're clean, since the big filter capacitors sometimes dry out and fail, leading to all sorts of flaky behavior. -- Ciao, Paul D.
