There's probably some sticky gunk that's condensed on the circuit board
under the silicone rubber dome switches. I seem to recall that it's possible
to snap out the keys, and then lift out the strips of dome switches. Then
you can clean under them with alcohol. I hope the switches themselves
haven't started to degrade--anything can happen after 20 years.
