CGS22 Master Divider

CGS22 Master Divider

2017-02-22 by phijel

Currently building a breadboard version of the CGS22 Master Divider (I hope it’s ok to discuss this here) and had the following questions :

  • The schematic indicates pin 7 from the 4x 4070’s is connected to -15V. But it looks like they’re connected to 0V on the board ?

  • On the schematic for the power source section I see 2x 100 BP caps between the positive rail and ground, one on each side of the 10R resistor. Il look like on the board they are both connected to the same side (the side close to the 10uF electrolytic cap) – does it matter ?

  • When testing the led driver on the breadboard I noticed it works equally fine without having 15V connected to the collector of the BC547 (the led continues flashing normally). Is it supposed to be so ?

Thanks !

1) 0v to pin 7.
2) wouldn't matter.
3) transistor is working as a diode instead of a voltage follower, thus the LED would still light.
