Resistor question for CGS 113 Serge Wave Multipliers

Resistor question for CGS 113 Serge Wave Multipliers

2013-01-01 by Richard Brewster

http://www.cgs.synth.net/modules/cgs113_vcm.html

The third wave multiplier has one section where pin 8 of an LM3900 has a
220K resistor coming from the input buffer. It is shown on the
schematic as having a feedback resistor to pin 9 of 1M, and an 820K to
minus V. I am confused about the values of those two resistors. The
board labels both as 1M. And the pictorial of the board shows in 820K
in RED as the feedback resistor. So the RED correction on the pictorial
is reverse of the schematic. So, which position gets the 820K and which
the 1M?

Thanks,

Richard Brewster

This boils down to: Is the schematic correct? If not, then what's right?

Thanks,

Richard

God knows. No two of the bastards seem to be the same. Just build it as per
the PCB.

LOL! I followed the PC board and used 1M for both. It can go too far
wrong.

Thanks,

Richard
