VCO

VCO

2008-01-25 by David Holt

So, I'm about to start final assembly on a ton of modules, and the CGS
VCO is first. On Mr. Biddulph's always helpful site, he lists 10 100K
linear pots and 3 22K linear pots. Since there's no one correct way to
wire this thing up, I was curious to which functions these pots
belonged. I ask both because this will be a difficult module to wire
up (a sample diagram would be SOOOOO helpful), and because 22K pots are
scarce as hen's teeth. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks-
dave

There are 2 trimpots on the board marked TRIM. They can be 20K, 22K or 25K
with the actual value being dependent upon the manufacturer. In the kits I
supply they are marked as 22K but 25K would be the other common value.

For the panel, the SHAPE pot is listed on the schematic as 25K. I now list
20K in my BOMs as this is the value supplied by ALPHA. Other manufacturers
may supply 20K, 22K or 25K all which should work fine. The other 2 pots are
the PW1 and PW2 pots which are listed on the schematic as 20K (!) again,
20K, 22K or 25K will work fine here. I supply 20K

Best Regards
