CGS52 Lockhart Wave folder question-

2007-03-21 by Mickey Finn

Cheers- First Post-

On building the '52, Where do the 2x 10n caps go?? I see there is 10n on the solder side, but
no holes? hmm..

Also, What is the difference between transistors 2N3906 and 2N3904?

I found that they both reference this single NTE transistor by mouser..

http://www.nteinc.com/specs/100to199/pdf/nte123ap.pdf

Can I just use this one NTE for both of these??

Thanks-

Coleman.

You solder them on the back of the board where those pads with no holes are.
It is not an error.

PNP and NPN

Ignore NTE. Stay away from NTE. If the only way you can get a part is to get
it from NTE, consider it unavailable. You will save yourself a LOT of grief.
2N3904 and 2N3906 are extremely common transistors.

If you used the NTE123, you would use it in place of the 2N3904. You would
use the complementary NTE159 in place of the 2N3906. Still, go buy the real
thing. NTE is also rediculously expensive in most cases.
