Wavetable Bank and Wave Advance switch wiring

Wavetable Bank and Wave Advance switch wiring

2006-01-12 by Louis van Dompselaar

Hi all

Just completed the Wavetable (DAC0800 turned out to be tricky to get,
but I got one in the end) and it is working great. One thing I noticed
though; I just wired the bank and wave advance switches between the
input and +5V. This does work, but more often then not produces
multiple triggers. Any quick way to remedy that?

hi Louis
congrats on building a wavetable, lots of great sounds to be found.

Ken mentions a similar problem in his wavetable article -

"The only thing found lacking when construction was finished was a
capacitor between the switches and the Bank and Wave inputs as there
was undesirable interaction between the inputs and switches when a
switch was pushed. These capacitors have not been added to any of
the PCBs released so far. "

from memory, on my system, the momentary switches were connected to
the switch tabs of the wave and bank select sockets. It means the
mom.switches are disabled when a jack is inserted, but otherwise
works fine.
