PN devices traditionally have the CBE order in reverse to the 2N devices.
Occasionally you will find a manufacturer who does things backwards though.
If I was installing a generic PN2222 on one of my Cynare PCBs, I would have
the round part of the transistor towards the nearer edge of the PCB.

I have not looked at the datasheet as this machine doesn't work with direct
linked pdfs.
