Component recognition problems. I very much doubt a 100n could get hot on
its own. Either something is heating it via radiation/conduction (i.e heated
BY the 10R), or alternately, it isn't a capacitor at all, which would
explain the 10 ohm resistor going up in smoke.
Is anything else getting hot? The chip for example?
