slow-cure epoxy made specifically for gluing metals. The stuff is really
strong once it dries. I think you could just glue threaded posts end-on to
the backs of panels, which is probably how I'll do my next module (a combo
of a CGS Digital Noise and a custom sample & hold). The first time I tried
this technique I glued L-shaped brackets to the back of the panel, and glued
threaded standoffs to those. You can find photos at my website,
